So, today I returned to the Dr. to get a physical, PAP and blood test results... I think I was most nervous for the results. She tested for PCOS (poly cystic ovarian syndrome) - LH, FSH, Progesterone and Testosterone. She also did an A1C (shows a 2-3 month blood sugar average). Also, cholesterol, CBCs and some others.
The results are in...
My A1C was 5.6 - At the top of the scale, but still below "risk/borderline" diabetic ranges. My blood fasting level was 98 and there was no glucose/sugar in my urine. All good results. Now, this could be this level BECAUSE I am eating a diabetic diet and exercising, but that's okay with me, as long as I am not diagnosed diabetic and/or have to take medication. We will check again in a few months.
LH, FSH, Progesterone and testosterone were ALL normal!!! :) Healthy baby maker!
Cholesterols were all perfect and all of the CBC (platelet, etc) were normal too.
But then she asked me if my prenatal vitamins had DHEA in them...? "I don't know"..... She told me to check when I got home because my DHEA levels are elevated. For my age group, my DHEA should be between 112-722. Mine..... 2648.....She told me that if my vitamins don't have DHEA then I need to go get a CT done to check for adrenal tumors........ So, I ran home and checked them out.... No DHEA. Called her and she told me to schedule the CT asap.
I plan on staying optimistic. I can't help but thinking about it, but staying positive! I am hoping it may have something to do with PCOS... But then again, my other levels are fine.
Matt is doing great, and Evan is doing well too! He finishes 5th grade on June 10th and a week late he leaves for his moms for 2 months. I am dreading it and already missing him. It will be a boring summer with just Matt and I, and I look forward to him coming home to us!!
